Age 3 - 6

Preschool
The Preschool Program is designed for younger children (ages 3-6) who hear or speak Mandarin Chinese at home. Through an immersive experience and interactive online activities with an experienced teacher, students will deepen their knowledge of Chinese culture, while becoming more confident at speaking, listening, and reading.

Class Curriculum

What will your child learn:

• How to express themselves in Chinese naturally, fluently, and logically.
• How to read picture books independently.
• How to understand the content of stories and make reasonable predictions, laying the foundation for developing their Chinese reading and writing ability.

Age 5 - 15

Foundation
The Foundation program is designed for children (ages 5-15) who do not speak or hear Mandarin Chinese at home. The curriculum covers everyday use of Mandarin Chinese and is intended to help learners build a good foundation with basic conversational skills. This program was created with big data insights from foreign language learners and aligns with globally recognized teaching and learning standards (ACTFL, YCT, HSK, and 21st Century Skills).

Class Curriculum

What will your child learn:

• Understand high frequency words, phrases, and simple sentences on learned topics.
• Communicate using everyday language, such as introducing themselves and sharing their favorite colors, foods and hobbies.
• Recognize basic Chinese characters (~45 words) and read simple sentences with contextual and visual support.
• Write basic Chinese characters (~36 words).
